A newly opened restaurant next to the small bridge in Grand Case serving (among other produce) meat of excellent quality. We haven't yet had a chance to check it out ourselves, but here a comment from a recent guest from England:
"I was in Grand Case last year in June. Spicy was the best restaurant in which we ate. The quality of the food was good and the ability of the Chef, in taste and presentation, was equaled only by the friendly charm of his wife who runs the restaurant. I was concerned that the name might put off some clients who may not have realized that they serve European food of the highest quality." |

Small Creole restaurant at a genuine creole building with nice seating on the terrace. Moderate prices. |

Anse Marcel |
Seaside Restaurant in Anse Marcel next to the "Domaine" Hotel. Although the restaurant claims to be open daily from 7:00am until 1:00am, we experienced the restaurant being often closed. The beachside bar "Paradise Beach Bar" is a very appealing place and it is open during daytime, serving drinks, snacks and meal 'a la carte'. Expensive. |

Euro versus Dollar
Presently, the Euro represents a higher value than the US-$. We understand that many US visitors look for places with 1:1 exchange rates. Please, be realistic, nobody can give away 25% or 50% just because you pay in US-Dollars. If they do so, then the prices had been adjusted before, which means, they were set higher in order to get enough Dollars to pay their expenses in Euro! |

Poulet d'Orleans is the only genuine Creole restaurant on the island.
