Petites Cayes is an unspoiled little tropical beach on the northern shore of French Saint Martin. It is a secluded, deserted beach due to the fact that it is difficult to access. If you are not into hiking, the much easier way to get to this beach would be by boat.
Some romantic sun lovers come even over from Orient Bay by jet ski or hobbie cat to relax at this beautiful and peaceful, untouched tropical paradise, ....
The hike to Petites Cayes can either start at the Anse Marcel Marina (a more difficult path across the cliffs and rocks), or a bit easier on a little "pathway" along the coast, which start at the dump and recycling station in French Cul-de-Sac. To find your way, take the road to Pinel Island. At the last turn to the ferry station in Cul-de-Sac take the opposite road, to the left and drive behind the school to get on the dirt road that leads to the dump.... |
To get to Petites Cayes beach, you've to be prepared for a challenging 35 minutes walk along the coast and through the natural reserve of Petites Cayes, starting at the dump located behind the French village of Cul-de-Sac (between the road to Anse Marcel and the road to the Pinel ferry).

It is hard to get there, but worth it! |
